Earning an HR credential is a sign of commitment and dedication to the HR profession. SHRM applauds and recognizes your efforts to enhance your skills and raise the value of the profession. For 38 years SHRM has been committed to collectively supporting the HR profession by providing the SHRM Learning System to support preparation for the PHR®/SPHR® and GPHR® designations offered by the HR Certification Institute. While these designations have made a tremendous impact on the HR profession, the changing landscape is demanding a more accessible, globally recognized HR credential that demonstrates knowledge and application of current HR practices.
As the leading advocate for HR professionals worldwide and provider of HR research and education, SHRM launched an unparalleled study to define not only the knowledge but also the competencies required of today’s HR leaders. The result is a new SHRM certification designed to demonstrate an HR professional’s acumen and the ability to apply that acumen to meet these new demands that will be available beginning in 2015. We will proudly offer certification preparation for this new designation in 2015, utilizing the SHRM Learning System®, a proven certification preparation program.
If you have already demonstrated your commitment to the HR profession by becoming certified, SHRM will continue to recognize your commitment and your investment in certification by providing a seamless and efficient process to earn the new SHRM certification.
