Local businesses report on COVID-19 impact, recovery initiatives, and reset strategy
LFCC Workforce Solutions recently administered a survey to local businesses to determine the impact of COVID-19 on their business operations.
The survey was distributed to business leaders in Frederick, Shenandoah, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Warren, Clarke, and Page counties, as well as Winchester City, and received over 120 unique responses. Of those responses, over half were small business (less than 50 employees), while only 11% have more than 1,000 employees. These businesses report being fairly stable despite some minor disruptions caused by COVID-19 and they expect to fully recover from the global pandemic’s impact within the next two years.
Top industries that responded include: professional/technical/scientific services (20% of respondents), manufacturing, healthcare, construction, public administration, and education (each representing about 10% of survey responses).
We will be holding a live webinar to report the detailed results of this survey, providing insight and guidance towards the next steps of recovery.
