Lord Fairfax Community College, the Lord Fairfax Community College Foundation, and Lord Fairfax Community College Workforce Solutions partners with various organizations and offices to offer various scholarships including those based on residential dwelling, career training path, and economic need. Browse below to view the different scholarships that are currently offered for our professional development and continuing education courses.

American Woodmark Foundation Career Training Scholarship Application

The Lord Fairfax Community College Foundation provides scholarship opportunities for students taking Workforce Solutions career training classes in the LFCC service area. The following scholarship option is available per the guidelines described below with limited funding up to $1,500.


Barbara J. Byrd Clarke County Student Success Fund

Clarke County residents enrolled in LFCC Workforce Solutions programs are invited to apply for a scholarship. Limited funds are available, and the amount of the scholarship will vary.


Town of Luray residents can save 75% off tuition for any Workforce Solutions courses. If you or a member of your household has been financially impacted by COVID-19, use this scholarship to take courses that lead to high-demand careers. With over 1,000 courses offered each year, credential programs and apprenticeships that take weeks or months (not years) to complete, you can quickly gain the skills you need to change course. Shenandoah County Scholarship

Shenandoah County residents can save 75% off tuition for any Workforce Solutions courses. If you or a member of your household has been financially impacted by COVID-19, use this scholarship to take courses that lead to high-demand careers. With over 1,000 courses offered each year, credential programs and apprenticeships that take weeks or months (not years) to complete, you can quickly gain the skills you need to change course. VA Ready

Become a VA Ready scholar and receive a $1,000 credential achievement award. Through Virginia community college training programs, FastForward has helped Virginians earn thousands of credentials in high-demand career fields that offer family-sustaining wages. The most affordable option in higher education today, FastForward programs can be finished in a few weeks or months with an average out-of-pocket cost of about $1,000. Financial assistance may be available to those who qualify.

Warrenton Trades Scholarship

The Lord Fairfax Community College Foundation provides limited scholarship opportunities for Warrenton residents taking Workforce Solutions Classes trades classes in the Fauquier area.


Warrenton Rotary Scholarship

The Lord Fairfax Community College Foundation provides limited scholarship opportunities for students taking Workforce Solutions Classes in the LFCC Fauquier and Rappahannock service area. This scholarship is intended to be used in addition to student funds to pay up to $500 per student to offset the expense of a credential course.
