Child & Adolescent Development
Our Child and Adolescent Development course encourages students to use current research to think critically about developmental theories and practices. You will explore which nutritional, physical, parental, educational, societal, and other factors will lead to optimal physical, cognitive, and psychosocial outcomes for the next generation of children. Whether you have children of your own, or are interested in a career with children or adolescents, this is an ideal choice to help you learn more. Our curriculum will provide a thorough introduction on the various levels of child & adolescent development.
Upon successful completion this course, students will be prepared for an entry-level position in the field and to sit for the ETS’ ParaPro Assessment Certification exam. States may require additional education and experience for employment.

Instructor Description: The Teacher’s Aide Associate Program course is supported by an Educational Mentor. Educational mentors have worked or are working in the subject they mentor. Educational Mentors review student work, student progress, and interact with students as needed. They respond to any questions or concerns you might have, as well as encouraging and motivating you to succeed.

Certification: Teacher Aide
