Motorcycle Safety – Basic Rider (Two Wheel)
August 28, 2021 @ 8:00 AM - August 29, 2021 @ 5:00 PM

The Basic Rider Education Program is for anyone possessing a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit who wants to learn how to safely ride a (two-wheel) motorcycle. Instruction includes classroom and range work—motorcycles and helmets will be provided by the college. Participants take part in classroom instruction and on-course riding on Saturday and Sunday for weekend classes, and Wednesday through Friday for weekday evening classes. Students learn the basic skills of two-wheel motorcycle operation, effective braking, turning skills and obstacle avoidance, as well as safe riding strategies – skills otherwise acquired only after several years of trial-and-error riding. This course is sanctioned by The Motorcycle Safety League of Virginia, Inc. / Virginia Rider Training Program.
