Research states that students who are actively involved in the learning process develop a deeper understanding of the content. Active learning requires both teachers and students having an integral role in acquiring knowledge and skills. Tired of using the same instructional techniques every day? Avoid the monotony by using strategies that will engage all learners, keep them involved and make it “real”. Participants will be involved in hands-on activities that they will be able to implement the next day. This seminar will help teachers build skills for standards-based planning. Participants will practice research-based strategies that can be implemented immediately following each session.
