The field of construction project management is diverse and enormously complex. There are several major classifications of construction that differ uniquely from each other: residential, commercial building, heavy highway, utility, and industrial projects. Such projects involve much time and expense, and close management control of them is required if they are to be completed on time and within budget. A construction project manager is in charge of the overall planning and control of a project; this demands a command of many skills. The NCCER Construction Project Management Certification program is designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge of planning and design, cost estimating, contracts, specifications, scheduling, and the practical application of project management techniques necessary to be a construction project manager. This course of study is designed for those who are currently project managers to be more fully equipped for the day to day rigors of the professional project manager. Program includes textbook, wallet card, certification, and Microsoft Project software trial.
