Three Participants attend for the Price of One

For each full-paying participant you register in a workshop, you are eligible to register two more participants such as board members or other volunteers from your organization at the same time for no additional cost. Register your paying participant first, then call our office (540-868-7021) for instructions on how to register your second (and third) participant(s) after completing the LFCC-WSCE Promotional Registration Form. The second and third participants will be full registrants for the workshop(s) funded by Path Foundation. Substitutions may only be accommodated until a week prior to the workshop. All attendees must be pre-registered. Funding is limited and subject to depletion.

 

Series 1:  Building your Development Campaign                        

How do you start from scratch?  Many charities are challenged by having to “start-up” or rehabilitate a lapsed program.  This workshop will help attendees create a road map to successful planning and executing a viable annual campaign.
Issues discussed will include creating the annual and long-term campaign plan, the need for a planning calendar, staff and volunteer organizations, a development budget and special event planning.

Series 2: Integrating Your Board into the Development Plan

So now we have a plan….how do we get the board on board? How to move from the proposed plan, to an approved plan, to an executable plan with the goals accomplished.
Issues discussed will include:  how to get board buy-in with the proposed campaign plan, functions where the board can help, volunteer committees and what they can/should do and how to recruit and work with special event committees.

Series 3: The Creation of Giving Clubs and Special Events

Giving Clubs and Special Events are both a blessing and a curse in fundraising.
Issues discussed will include creating a sample Giving Club, linking benefits to giving, discuss naming policies and address the pledge process.

Series 4:  The Art of the Ask                        

Building the plan, working with the board and creating Giving Clubs are all important……but without “the ask”, there are no gifts.
Issues discussed will include the giving process; from initial contact, to the solicitation, to follow-up, to the gift decision and continued engagement.  We will also discuss the partnership process from the first gift to the donor’s legacy gift, and complete a solicitation drill for that first major gift.
