The field of construction project management is diverse and enormously complex. There are several major classifications of construction that differ uniquely from each other: residential, commercial building, heavy highway, utility, and industrial projects. Such projects involve much time and expense, and close management control of them is required if they are to be completed on time and within budget.
Become a Construction Project Manager and be in charge of the overall planning and control of a project; this requires a high level of expertise across a wide range of disciplines. The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Construction Project Management Certification program is designed to provide you with knowledge of project planning and design, estimating, scheduling, contract documents along with the techniques and technology necessary to be a successful construction project manager. In the first two classes, students will be introduced to MS Office 365 for Construction to become familiar with the desktop tools and communication methods used throughout the class. All who are interested in taking this course must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows 10 and your own laptop.
