Recent graduate, Nicole Russell, provides a snapshot of her experience with the growing Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) program.
Nicole Russell is a 2013 graduate of the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) Program through Workforce Solutions. Although she had previously worked in the medical field, she took some time off to focus on raising her children. When she was ready to return to the workforce, the CMA program was a quick way for Nicole to learn new skills, gain a national certification and participate in an externship that led to employment at a local medical practice. “[CMA Program] allowed me to sharpen my skills to be better in my current position,” says Russell.
Russell credits Sharon Cason, the CMA instructor, for her hands-on instruction and clinical assignments that helped prepare her for a job as a CMA. “Sharon Cason was a great instructor.
