People often think it’s space where everyone yells, screams beats their chests and gets sideways at the drop of a hat, but that couldn’t be further from the truth, she says. To date over 11,000 valuable, industry-recognized workforce credentials have been awarded to Virginians through a pay-for-performance grant training program. This training has occurred through a Virginia Community College program called FastForward, which was designed to empower Virginians with the specific skills employers are seeking. These workforce training programs are geared toward the needs of local businesses and focus on in-demand credentials and degrees allowing Virginians the chance to get the jobs they want and the salaries they need.
Lord Fairfax Community College Workforce Solutions (LFCCWS) is excited to announce several new and upcoming courses that will be taking place at the Page County Technical Center (PCTC) in Luray, Virginia. Courses in Computers, Healthcare, HVAC and more will be offered for the first time at this location.
