Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program Paves the Way for Opportunity

Yonathan Vigil Eufracio was one of 11 students from Fauquier County Public Schools and Prince William County Public Schools who participated in LFCC’s first-ever high school cohort for heavy equipment operator training.

Working with machinery runs in Yonathan Vigil Eufracio’s family, so taking the Heavy Equipment Operators (HEO) program designed for high school students and offered by LFCC Workforce Solutions last spring was a smart choice.

“It just came naturally to me,” he explains. “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I applied and got the scholarship offered by my school system.”

2019 Fauquier County High School grad Logan Falls has a jump start on his heavy construction career thanks to LFCC Workforce Solutions’ Heavy Equipment Operators (HEO) program.

He was in the program’s first cohort of high school students who took the course two evenings a week this past spring.

Fauquier County Resident Finds Purpose, Career With LFCC’s New Dental Assisting Course

Fauquier County High School 2014 graduate Mackenzie Rollins has finally found a career she can really sink her teeth into, thanks to a brand-new dental assisting program being offered by LFCC Workforce Solutions.

This was Rollins’s second time enrolling at LFCC – she had previously studied business, but realized that wasn’t the field for her. She had also spent more than a year at James Madison University, where she switched majors several times.

Skyline High School graduate Bradley Cute recently completed LFCC Workforce Solutions’ CompTIA A+ Prep and Certification course, and now works for a federal contractor in Luray.

He took advantage of the Guarantee-to-Interview program Workforce Solutions has with Syntelligent Analytic Solutions LLC. Syntelligent has agreed to interview students who have completed the CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ or ITIL certification courses.
